Soffen AI is built offline-first. The core app is designed to work without an account and without sending your store's inventory, sales or supplier data to our servers. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and the choices you have.
1. Summary
- Your store data (products, stock, sales, suppliers, orders) is stored locally on your device by default.
- No account is required to use the core app.
- Core forecasting runs on your device. We do not need your store data to generate forecasts.
- If optional cloud features are introduced, they will be opt-in, and the app will show when data leaves the device.
- We do not sell personal data.
2. Data stored in the app
The app stores the information you enter — store settings, products, barcodes, prices, stock movements, sales, suppliers, purchase orders and generated forecasts — in a local database on your device. This data remains under your control. You can export it at any time.
Uninstalling the app or resetting your device may delete this local data. We recommend exporting a backup before changing devices.
3. Data collected by this website
This website does not require you to create an account. Our hosting provider may process standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type and requested pages) to deliver and secure the site.
If we add privacy-friendly analytics, we will list the provider here and describe what is measured. Interactive demos on this site run entirely in your browser and do not send the values you enter to us.
4. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message and use them only to respond, provide support and manage early access. We keep this correspondence only as long as needed for those purposes.
5. Optional cloud features (planned)
Cloud backup, multi-device sync and team access are planned features. Before they launch we will update this policy to describe exactly what is uploaded, where it is stored, how it is protected and how to delete it. These features will be off unless you turn them on.
6. AI features
Forecasts, stockout predictions and recommendations are calculated on your device from your local data. If a cloud AI feature is ever offered, it will be clearly labelled as cloud AI, it will be optional, and the app will tell you before any information leaves the device.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Because store data stays on your device by default, you can usually exercise these rights directly in the app. For anything we hold, contact privacy@soffen.space.
8. Children
Soffen AI is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.

We will post updates on this page and change the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
